I use Pantene ProV Curl Defining Scrunching Mousse. Then scrunch it and blow dry it with a diffuser.

I have straight hair, but my friends get their hair straightened professionally 1x every 4-6 weeks It takes less time overall than straightening it every day. I would talk with a hair stylist and get advice there. If you have thick strands, they might suggest something different than if you had fine hair. my hair is fine and thus looks oily and heavy after a day. good luck!

A product company called "Deva Concepts" came out with a phenomenal line for curly hair called, "Deva Curl." There is a shampoo, conditioner, spray gel, and regular gel. The shampoo's are called "No-Poo, and Low-Poo." You are supposed to run the conditioner (Deva-One) through your ends before you put the shampoo on your roots/scalp only. No-Poo if you shampoo every day, and Low-Poo if it's been a few days. Then you rinse, and that's it. The idea behind the shampoo process is that curly hair needs MOISTURE, and by shampooing every day we tend to strip the moisture out of the ends.

Now, after you finishing shampooing, you should only scrunch the water out of your hair with a towel, and then scrunch the gel into your hair. Diffuse, or let dry by itself.

I'm using this product called Bed Head: Control Freak. It actually works really well. I don't exactly know how to blow dry, and yet it still straightens quite a bit. I'm guessing it would work a whole lot better if I did know how to. It's a little expensive, but the bottle will last you a long time. 6months or more if you use the reccommended amount.
