i've had long hair all my life so i've learned how to deal. heres what ya do:

1) start with a basic ponytail.

2)twirl the hair and take a clip, clip the hair on the top of ur head.

this hairdo makes ur hair look shorter and stylish.

You can make a ponytail and then fold it upwards and then hair pin it there as well. I do that sometimes.

try pulling your hair back, twisting it tight, and clipping it up. if your hair is thick enough, it will stay, but a bit of hairspray wont hurt. i have thick hair but its still easier to do when its damp (not dripping wet, but damp). if you have bangs, leave those out. an easy way to do that is just have it clipped up and shake your head a bit while shaking some of the bangs out. it looks pretty nice on me cuz i have side bangs, but my hair isnt really long. its a little above shoulder length. good luck!
