Hair ideas for prom?

i have razored %26amp; layered, fine, brown hair that comes about 3 inches past my shoulders, i'm not sure what to do with it for prom, i kind of want to spice it up so what should i do that won't be expensive??

Do not but it all up in a bun with curls...everyone does that and its plain and boring..the one that i like is when you pull some hair back like pony tail but not all the hair...and curl it..leave some little hair out in the front and curl those slightly...not to much..trust me when it comes to hair..people always ask me at school..and thats how i wore my hair..HAVE FUN!!!!

okay.....first of all since you have to work with layers....a straight look will just be boring kay..so do hump and couple drop curls..add a hot sparkly tiara and your good...

you could curl some or all of you hair use a decorative clip to pull about half of your hair back and it would be a really cute "half pony" hairstyle

I had that hair cut too and when i went to my best friend's wedding i wore half up and half down. I had the hairdresser pin the top layer up in small spirals in a formal (but cool) bun in the back of my head, and i had her curl the remainding layer in large Jessica Simpson curls. It was really cute, but you only have to pay for half of an up-do!

k well i had short hair for my prom and i wanted something amazing sooo....i actually got extensions..and if you ask your hair dresser to do it she might...if she knows how..i get mine sewed in but glue doesnt last as long and its cheaper but i did a half up half down look and my theme was kind of like...mermaid..i had a very pretty aqua silk dress. it was very slinky and i wore shell jewlery and then i did my hair half up and half down and put a few random tiny braids in it ....i dont know if you are more classic but i was nominated for prom court and everyone loved it! good luck
