you could have a little side fringe and then cute little loose plaits, or a high pony tail with a slightly over sized quiff, or just simply use a little hair band and push back your hair from the front. If you just want to wear it down, it can look different by just changing where the parting is. Good Luck xx

Ohman...I've had the SAME problem! I let my hair grow longer (mid shoulder), but I'm not sure what short means to you!

Anyways...straightening and wearing it down always looks nice, but make sure you put some sort of protective product on your hair before you use the flat iron. Straightening it removes the bulky feel of thick hair, and also makes it shinier (with a product)! Then you can just wear it down, or use clips to keep it out of your face.

Another thing you might want to consider is getting your hair thinned out, as was mentioned above. Thinning it out makes it a lot cooler to year your hair down it the summer, and keeps the frizz at bay.

why don't you let it grow thick hair is always nicer longer....and while it's growing try experimenting by putting some up some down using clips etc. one style i know is taking the front bits brushing them over the top of your heard and then putting a clip to hold it in place

- "Strictly Curls" is a book about curly hair styles. I like to sweep hair back with 2 crisscrossed bobby pins after parting my hair to the side. I also like to wear my hair half up and leave out individual curls to frame my face.

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (read more about this at one of the websites) . Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Aussie Moist Conditioner. The combo of products that I use daily is Garnier Fuctis Sleek and Shine Leave In Cream, Tressemme Clean Hold Gel, and Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working.This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

Okay... I need a princess costume. I am 13 years old so no little girls stuff. I want it to be absolutly beautiful, not cute but beautiful. I also, want to do my own hair, buy a tiara/crown, a long flowing dress, earrings ect. I dont want to buy a costume I want to be dressed up from head to toe, inside and out so that I can look beautiful. It has to be special because this might be my last dress up haloween. No dead things. I need a dress that is beautiful (I was thinking light blue, gold, pink. I have tan/olive colored skin so the color needs to look good on me) but no totally expensive, and fast shipping under 50 bux. I need hair ideas, under the dress ideas (like old school underwear, i think that would be SUPER CUTE) I need a gorge crown/tiara (like a wedding/prom thing) and yeah, just give me the links to all the things. And tell me how you would do it if you wanted to do my idea.

I would go to my local thrift shops and goodwill. You can find used prom/wedding dresses to use that will be much less expensive than buying anything new, and probably cheaper than ebay too. And best thing is- no shipping. A place like Clare's (the cheap jewelery store most malls have) will have inexpensive tiara's and costume jewelry, and gloves. also Ross might have some dresses or shoes that are fancy enough but cheaply priced.

Go to http://www.simplicity.com and pick out a pattern. Andrea Schewe makes great Renaissance patterns for dresses, and I think there are even "old school" underwear patterns available.

Remember, purple is royal color, and I think it would compliment your skin tone.

Hi! A great place to find good Princess gear is at vintage or thrift store- There are tons of party dresses from the 50's out there and I am sure you will find something beautiful. Lots of petticoats and chiffon. Check out the jewlery and accessories -I wear vintage all the time--You might even look at vintage nightgowns-they were incredibly intricate back then....Happy Halloween--Princess--My birthday is on Halloween-so if this helps at all-wish me a happy birthday while you are out in your princess gear. Eqyss products are excellent for this problem. I use both the Premier shampoo and the Rehydrant spray for my cats. Both are also helpful in preventing and easing out matts, which is a common problem with Persians.

Another thing I use is Jerob Creme Rinse after the final bath. This too helps get out the last of the shampoo %26amp; makes combing after the bath easier. The creme rinse also helps ease out matts.

Armed you with a lot of info. What I would try first (after the fact) is the Rehydrant. Smells wonderful and gets rid of the static. Just spray it on, give your kitty a good massage to get it all through the coat %26amp; whalla! Problem solved. (Comb it through, of course)

If it isn't, start over with the Eqyss shampoo. Follow the directions (leave it on for a couple minutes). Do that once or twice. Make SURE you get all of the shampoo out! Follow with a white vinegar rinse - gets rid of excess shampoo, then the Jerob Creme rinse. Also leave on a couple minutes. Then, rinse, rinse, rinse, and when you think you're done, rinse some more.

Follow with the Eqyss rehydrant and blow the cat dry using a comb to quicken the process. (If s/he's not used to it at least do it a little bit!)

You will have a wonderfully clean cat with a soft, easy to manage coat. Periodic spraying of the rehydrant will take care of the static (if any - the cream rinse prevents that too).

some stores sell dryer sheets that have no perfume or chemicals and that have static cling release. take one and rub him down it should work.

Are you using human shampoo? Use kitty shampoo (sold at pet stores) it contains conditioner that should eliminate the problem. Using kitty shampoo isn't as irritating as human shampoo, either. Don't wash him more than once a week.

rub some hand lotion into your hands (not all greasy, but normal amount) and pet him for awhile. It should improve it a bit. Do it a couple of times a day till his static is gone.

This may sound a bit odd but getting a regular trim (like half an inch) should help, then make sure that whenever you wash your hair, massage your scalp for about 5 minutes while conditioning. Also, coconut oil helps, makes your hair shiny too. MAssage in some coconut oil (once a month should do) on your hair and scalp an hour before you wash your hair. Rinse well though.

my daughter had her first communion may 5. i took her to the salon and they curled sections of her hair and then sprayed it. then she pulled the front back to make a pony tail and curled that too. then they placed the headpiece and veil on and pinned it altogether. it was beautiful. it definitely would have lasted all day with the tons of hair spray but my daughter did not want to wear the headpiece at lunch so she took it out. the curls though lasted thru to the next day when she took a shower. good luck and congratulations!

Okay! I'm an expert on conditioning because I have thick hair damaged from heating tools AND I love to dye it crazy colours. :P So you need a deep conditioner (Bumble %26amp; Bumble Deeep閳?is amazing! It's expensive, but so worth it). You have to leave that in for 20 minutes after you're finished shampooing and conditioning your hair. Then you wash it out. To keep yourself from getting bored during those 20 minutes, shave your legs/underarms/bikini area. That's what I do, and it makes the 20 minutes fly by! :D When conditioning, most people just rub it in and wash it out in two seconds, but that is actually extremely ineffective; in fact, using that method is like not using conditioner at all! So leave your conditioner in for 10-15 minutes, and while you're waiting for THAT to sink in, you can scrub yourself head to toe with Epsom salts and soap to achieve TRULY clean skin! (Just make sure you moisturize after you are dried off from the shower, or else your skin will be dry.) Hope I helped! ;D

After its been brushed or combed (I think combed is better as its seperating the hair), you could put on some serum. Which can seperate the curls and make it less "bushy" and fuzzy. Its like oil, but you don't need that much. It should give her nice glossy curls.

She is very young. I have curly hair as well and I never brush it. I only comb it or pick it once to get the tangles out. After that, I apply a product, however she seems a little young to be putting a product in her hair. Let her hair dry naturally if possible as this will help reduce frizz. Do not use a blow dryer without a diffuser if you must blow dry. I also wash my hair every other day. Do not wash it every day.

Because she is so young, you may just want to pull it back with headbands, bows, or ribbons.

you can try having some braids on the side. or try scrunching it. but, since you cant put your hair up, you should try putting it halp up or half down. that way your hair is up and also down. try having side bangs too, that make it look like you have a well rounded face, i guess.

if you are looking to keep it down why dont you curl it loosly either with hot rollers or with your curling iron and then pinning up the pieces after you curl them until they cool. or if you are looking for a new style why not just cut your layers shorter and make it piecier.

OK let me list the facts:

-I'm in 7th grade.

-I go to an all-girls school

-This school dance is with 7th and 8thgraders and our brother school

-I have brown hair to my chest

-I also have brown eyes

I need hair and makeup ideas. I think I know what I'm wearing. Basically its a pink shirt and mini or bermudas.

Please don't say I'm to young to wear makeup because everyone at my school are preps and all wear makeup. Any hair ideas will be welcomed, short of shaving my head bald :p

well im going to 7th grade too but i'm in public school and middle school starts in 6th grade and its with 6th 7th and 8th grade so i am pretty much use to it. i wouldn't wear the mini unless you don't plan on really dancing but you can if you want.

Also not to be rude but it wont be like a prom and if its like mine then they do it at the end of school and sometimes after so just wear what you normally do and maybe you could put some glitter shadow on your eyes just not to much and mascara just not to much and some glittery or pink lipgloss. and with your hair you can keep it down not sure if you have straight or wavy or curly hair but if you have straight hair you could curl it and vise versa. im guessing this is after school because if its not you cant really curly or straighten your hair at school well i hope i helped and enjoy your dance!!

Ideas to remove chewing gum from scalp hair.?

I've heard of peanut butter, or shortening, or cooking oil to soften the gum and get it out easier. Mayonnaise, mineral oil, baby oil, try any and all of these.

Vinegar might break it down and make it easier to remove.

I've even seen chocolate or egg whites recommended.

Try applying ice to the gum, it may become brittle enough to snap it off. Once you get most of it off, then try the oily stuff to dissolve the rest.

I would maybe try GooGone or WD40 or something similar, once you've gotten most of the gum off, to remove the residue. It's not really for using on the body, and I certainly wouldn't use it on a young child, but an older one or an adult, it's probably fine, if you shampoo it out right away. Good luck!

Alo, my experience, just play with your hair. I have created formal hair styles myself by just playing. I sometimes will put my hair in a ponytail, and take pieces of hair from it and wrap it around one direction and pin it, take another piece and wrap it around the other direction and pin it, and continue until all hair is pinned. Then I may loosen it by messing it up a bit, and it looks really cute, but takes practice.

A style I do when I am short on time, but looks good is I make my hair curly, mess my part up and have my bangs offcentered, so they go over my eye somewhat, then pull back hair on side without bangs and clip. Very simple!

for products, I suggest a good antifrizz serum, like John Frieda Frizz Ease if you think there is any chance of your hair getting frizzy. Or look for a shine enhancing product. Since your hair is curly, unless you want to straighten it, I think you should be ok on using regular hairspray and gels, etc.

I have the same kind of hair that you have. Here are some of the styles that I like to wear that look pretty cute....

1. Straigthen It then put a cute clip on the side that matches your outfit- smallish baby bows are really cute pinned on the side

2.Scrunch It- to scrunch your hair put some gel in your hand and on a section of hair repeatedly grab and release your hair, this gives it a wavy effect

3. Half Up-Half Down with ringlet curls- Put your hair half up half down, then take a curling iron and make about 5 ringlets around your head, if you have bangs keep them straight

4. A simple bun/ponytail- this is just a simple look that doesn't take hardly any time

5.Two low ponytails/braids- These look really cute with polos

Also, when you get out of the shower, you could put some mousse or gel in it, and scrunch it wavy, and that normally looks cute. You can wear it like that for a few days; the next day just get up and spritz it with a spray bottle.

If you're talking haircuts, you could layer it short in the front and long in the back. Maybe if you want a splurge a little get some goldne blonde highlights in it. Good luck!

Use Loreal Preferance hair dye in brand. I would recommened a beautiful dark brown. i know it seems boring to go darker but it really brings out your eye color and also your skin tone. if you say you have a medium skin tone it should look great. I have my hair this way and I am on the lighter side and i can pull it off. The nest tihng is is that over time your hair will lighten up a little so if you don't like it, it isn't hard to change later on. Good luck

i would say, for the sake of your hair, don't dye!

i did dye my hair once, for i have a problem with white hair when i'm currently only 20. and after colouring, i realised that my ends are horrifyingly dry. so my advice is, no matter what you do to your hair, you perm, you straighten, nv color/bleach your hair. highlighting is worse! that would make certain strands more dry and others not as dry. hope you would get what i mean.

Summer will be a scorcher, it's already in the 90's here and it's only June. By August it can be over 100 degrees so it all depends on when your going.

try something like a product called "dirt" its tacky and has a great texture for piecy looks...almost every line carries that kind of product, go professional tho you'll get a better quality

After you dry it and straighten it use hair paste. You can buy it at wal mart or any salon. It works like a glue and you can "mold" your hair.

wat i wud suggest, use GarnierFructis Soft Curl Cream...

-u cud use this on wet or dry hair

-first, section ur hair nd add the cream(dime size.) per section

-then wrap ur hair around ur two/one fingers close to ur scalp, then bobby pin it there...

(wen u release ur fingers after wrapin it, nd bobby pin it. ur hair shud lok as if theres an invisible roller/curler there.)

If you want straight Try brushing it wet with a little gel or mousse in it. That depends on HOW wavy it is though.

To make the layers stand out more, I use Garnier's Surf hair texturizing spray. Spray it on and shake your head, I'm not kidding. :-) Or just spray it on and work it with your fingers i.e. style the ends out.

Put your hair in low pig tails behine your ears (in the back of your head, not sticking straight out the side of your head! Thats like BAD 80's HAIR!) Only don't you pull your hair all the way through the ponytail holder the last time. The ends of your hair will be sticking out, kinda messy like. ITS CUTE!!!!

Cut it off!!! I just cut mine off all the way down to my butt and I got it cut short. It was totally liberating to finally be free of that long, long ponytail. I am not a do your hair kind of girl and always thought it would take so long to do my hair. With this short cut and some hair product I am ready in a minute. Also everywhere I go people are amazed at how I look now and say I look way younger!!! Good luck!

ok. if you know you're going to be dancing then tie your hair up, cause if you're dancing you're likely going to get hot at the dance, however your hair is shoulder length so i suggest leaving your hair down and curling it (but not too much cause it makes a teenager look old). Most likely the lights will be turned off so wearing make up would be bad cause nobody will even see it, but if you really want to, try black eyeliner with colored eyshawdow (for brown or green eyes: green eyshadow; for blue eyes: red or black) and some lipgloss [preferly dark pink %26amp; dark orange (they go great with your skin!)] good luck

Wear your hair up in a stable hairstyle. It'll get hot and sweaty on the dance floor and having your hair down will only make I worse. You should be able to shake your head pretty hard have your hair stay in place. Worrying about your hair falling down the whole time will really ruin the "head-banger" songs. Make it something simple but elegant like a messy bun.

As for make up use really sheer powdered eye shadow that matches your dress and light mascara. I wouldn't even bother with lips but if you want you can put on a light shimmery pink. Remember, the dance floor will be hot and sweaty and too much make up will it uncomfortable.
