I am 26 and my daughter is 6 and we both have VERY curly hair. I have always used the baby oil method. Just a little bit of baby oil after you wash her hair will do wonders.

Never brush it. Use a pick. And you should use a hair product for curly hair.

At 18 months old you really don't want to be using products on her hair. I suggest plaiting the hair tightly this way it is kept neat and tidy.

hair oils or moisturizer you could try many different products soft n free , motions , pink , or even watered down hair conditioner

After its been brushed or combed (I think combed is better as its seperating the hair), you could put on some serum. Which can seperate the curls and make it less "bushy" and fuzzy. Its like oil, but you don't need that much. It should give her nice glossy curls.

She is very young. I have curly hair as well and I never brush it. I only comb it or pick it once to get the tangles out. After that, I apply a product, however she seems a little young to be putting a product in her hair. Let her hair dry naturally if possible as this will help reduce frizz. Do not use a blow dryer without a diffuser if you must blow dry. I also wash my hair every other day. Do not wash it every day.

Because she is so young, you may just want to pull it back with headbands, bows, or ribbons.

There are shampoo and conditioners for curly hair readily available from any supermarket which have a denser more oily formula which sort of weigh down curly hair making it less frizzy and more managable :)
