I have short hair im black. i really want my hair to grow an inch or two before june any ideas?

recently i chopped off all my hair because someone ****** me up at a salon about a year ago. left me with a bald patch in the back of my head so i chopped it all. its growing back alright. but im not seeing that much progress. im african american what is the real secret to fast growin hair. i get perms once a month. i dont like weave.. and i always wash my har and keep alot of grease in it. any other things or products i could buy?
