Try just drying it like normal, and then curling it so that it's just a little wavy and smooth, then brush it back from one side of your face and secure it with a bobby pin, so that it looks upswept on that side. Leave the other side the way it is.

My quick and easy trick that always gets compliments and requests for how-to: Brush your hair back and put it in a low ponytail at the nape of your neck (with an elegant or nice ponytail holder of course) Pull the holder down a couple of inches. Make a hole in the middle of the portion of hair between where the holder is now and where it was before up against your head. Take the ponytail and the holder and flip it straight up and down through the hole all the way. Pull to tighten and smooth down. It's called an inside out ponytail, takes 10 seconds, and looks really nice and fancy!

For something even easier: Wrap a piece of your own hair around a ponytail holder and pin down. This always looks fancy.

Finish off with a light spritz of shine spray.
