I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to darken my hair?

I have naturally medium blonde hair with light blonde highlights and I am REALLY bored with it. I have really pale skin and light eyebrows though so everyone says I will look bad with brunette hair but I have decided that I want to do it anyway. Is there any way that I can darken my hair slowly without using dye at first so it's not such a drastic change? Also, what about my eyebrows? I don't really want to dye them. Is there any way I can darken them as well? I have thought about using the John Frieda shampoo conditioner and glaze but I'm not sure how well that would work. Is there anyone that knows about this or has done it themselves? Thanks so much!
